Angela Russell, LCSW

Mental Health Coaching and Psychotherapy

My work as a therapist is largely influenced by looking at the research of adaptive information processing and interpersonal neurobiology. How our minds and bodies form and react to our environment heavily plays into the complexity of life and the patterns we develop. We are unique individuals who live in a relational world. I dive into these themes in therapy while using a variety of treatment models and techniques grounded in evidence-based research. I work with clients to help them develop tools that assist in making real and lasting transformations.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy. I also have training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and incorporate concepts from Interpersonal Neurobiology. I have been seeing clients for well over a decade and have extensive experience in treating traumas big and small. I use a tailored approach for each individual based on the needs and goals they have. I am passionate about this work because I have seen real change and enjoy helping people find a happier and healthier way of being.
